Winter Spice Cranberry Sauce has warm and cozy spices like cardamom, cinnamon, and clove that are perfect for “cold weather holidays.”

Ingredients

  • 112 ounce bag cranberries, washed and sorted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup orange juice (approximately 23 oranges, zest 1 orange and set aside zest)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Zest from 1 orange
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cardamom
  • 1/8 tsp. ground cloves

Instructions

  1. Put cranberries in medium-large saucepan or frying pan with a wide bottom and high sides over high heat.
  2. Stir in sugar, spices, and orange zest.
  3. Add orange juice and water.
  4. Bring to a boil, stirring often until sugar is completely dissolved.
  5. Cook for 10 minutes at a boil, stirring frequently.
  6. Turn heat to low and let cook another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Remove from heat and transfer to another dish to cool.
  8. Refrigerate until using.
