What it is~
I recently contacted Wink Frozen Desserts because they have an impressive list of allergy and dietary restrictions that their frozen desserts meet. No nuts is a HUGE thing for us. We often run the risk of allergic reactions if we grab ice cream from the store and that is a total bummer. My kids love trying new things and so many fun flavors involve tree nuts. So, with much anticipation we waited for our Wink Frozen Dessert package to show up on our doorstep. They generously sent us 4 free pints to try, packaged in a styrofoam cooler with dry ice.
We received Cocoa Dough, Iced Latte, Cake Batter, and Cinnamon Bun. Like I said, Wink Frozen Desserts meet an impressive list of allergen and dietary needs – vegan, fat free, sugar free, gluten free, soy free, nut free, dairy free, and egg free. Another reason I wanted to try it is because it is fat free and sugar free. Weighing in at 25 calories per half cup serving and sweetened with stevia and monkfruit extract I was hoping to find a great sugar free option for our family me.
How it tastes~
So here’s the deal. If you like sugar free products already you should like this one. It definitely has less “fake sugar” taste than many other artificial sweetened products tend to carry. Can you tell it doesn’t have sugar? Well yeah. I mean, sugar is one of a kind and there is truly nothing that can replace it but I am happy that is is a sugar free option without the questionable chemicals many products are packed with. If I am craving ice cream will it do the trick? No. However, it is a great solution to stash in the freezer for a low calorie, low fat AND sugar free treat. I will keep a pint of this in my freezer since I won’t keep ice cream in it.
Our favorite flavors were Cake Batter and Cinnamon Bun. The kids chose Cinnamon Bun pretty much hands down. Guess they will get that one since I do like the Cake Batter one.

I love that Wink Frozen Desserts offers ingredient transparency. They verify that their products are all-natural and GMO-free and include the reasoning behind the ingredients they use. That is pretty awesome in my book. Can’t pronounce it? They explain it ALL.
