We started off vacation weekend with a bang. This foodie mama went to Tuckerton Seaport’s very first “Truck”erton Food Truck and Brew Fest. I was given entrance and $15 Food Truck bucks to see what damage I could do. You all know I love , right? If not, check out my previous experiences at Tuckerton Seaport – Goin’ on a Field Trip, Surf Skimmers and Pirate Festival, and Power, Water, Space.

Truckerton Food Truck and Brew Fest

Tuckerton took festival to a whole new level with their food truck and brew fest extravaganza, and oh the happy people. So many people left with stuffed bellies and happy smiles, including me. I was only sad I couldn’t eat a bite more because there was so much yummy food. I wish I could have recorded some of the comments I heard as people left, some of them just randomly talking to complete strangers in the parking lot, telling them why they HAD to check out the Food Truck Festival.

I tackled the head on. Mission: find the best food. Method: Check out every food truck then decide on something. I got to the end of the line and thought, this is a little smaller than I thought. Ah, yes, the map would have come in handy. It wasn’t even half the festival. Had I looked to my right I would have seen the other 2/3 of the festival.

I was a little side tracked with the first brewery. I had check out River Horse at Whole Foods but wasn’t sure I wanted to buy a 6 pack of something I had never had before. After looking at their options for the day I settled on the Tripel Horse. I’m a Porter and Stout kind of girl but also love a good Belgian Ale. I never heard of Belgian Tripel Ale but since I’m an adventurous kind of girl, anything is worth a sip or two to find out. Since I am awful at describing flavors, I’ll just say the Tripel Horse  had notes of vanilla and other spices that knocked it out of the park when it comes to ale. This is definitely a new favorite for me.

And then, it happened. I saw this sign….

Zinna's Mobile Menu - Buffalo Chicken and Blue Cheese Ravioli

I’m IN LOVE with all thing Buffalo Blue Chicken – ALL THINGS. I also love ravioli and the two together? “It must be love, ladidadi.” Okay, I won’t break into song. I promise, but it was a given I had to order them.  After my initial “this isn’t really a ravioli” they tasted so good. I’m going to have to try deep frying a ravioli to see if it’s the same. The shell just seemed less pasta and more bread. Either way it was definitely a great start to my afternoon.

Freshly Squeezed Lemonade

Then, just like that, it happened. I just couldn’t decide what to eat next and went to hunt down some friends who were also attending the event. This is when I discovered there was a whole other section to Food Truck paradise. Of course this meant more tough decisions, but I was up for it…perhaps.

It was also around this time that my family joined me for the afternoon. Did we buy every one food for $15? No way, but the money spent was well worth it. Five Sisters, do you travel to West Chester, PA? The Whiskey Tango was the best with a beef slider topped with cheddar, bacon, and a freshly fried onion ring. Pork Belly came in second with a fresh slaw brightening the rich pork belly that almost melted in our mouths.

What’s that? Completely sad you missed this awesome foodie dream? Guess you’re gonna have to wait until next year, but…….

….before you get too sad, check out a few other things the Tuckerton Seaport is pulling off this year, and maybe you’ll get lucky and Five Sisters will have their food truck parked at the Seaport. You can hope….or beg…it’s worth it.
