Too Green Smoothie?

Well, the long awaited day is here. The day my son has waited for all week. We are having Kiwi Apple Smoothies.

I am not a huge fan of kiwi. I use to be but in the past few years kiwi has made my mouth all prickly and itchy. I decided to give it a try again. Same results. However, that isn’t what made this smoothie “too” green. At least for my kids.

I used yellow delicious apples, kiwi, kale, strawberries, banana, tomatoes, and milk. The smoothie is a green brown. For kids who care about color that is so not cool. I fixed it by putting them in tall dark colored cups with straws and put a dollop of whipped cream on top. Everything is better with whipped cream, right?

If it wasn’t for the kiwi it would actually be quite yummy.
