Who’s ready for game day partying? The best part about big games is party food. I love the food. Most sports parties bring to mind pizza, wings, chips, and dip. Of course some one usually has the obligatory veggie tray but really, let’s be honest, it’s all about the “junk food”. I wanted to add a twist for the big game. Our family loves fish tacos so I decided to take the traditional tortilla chip and salsa dish to a different level. Meet Spicy Fish Taco Minis.
These amazing little appetizers take a teensy tiny bit of work but they are oh so worth it. My whole family loves them so much that all 36 were gone in minutes. Sweet and slightly spicy with a twist of lime, you absolutely must add these to your game day menu. They have just a little spice so if you would like a bold spicy flavor make sure to add the seeds from the unused half a jalapeño. Oh, and how about a party? My food loving friends and I teamed up to bring you one amazing virtual game day party. Check out all 14 game day recipes at the end of this post and don’t forget to check out our Game Day Pinterest Board.

Sweet and spicy, with a twist of lime, spicy fish taco cups are a perfect appetizer for any sports party. ~realthekitchenandbeyond.com
- Yield: 36 1x
Ingredients
- 1 lb. white fish
- Cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon oil, appr.
- 36 tortilla chip scoops
- 1 cup coleslaw mix – shredded cabbage/carrot mix
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1/4 mango, finely diced
- 1/2 jalapeño and seeds, finely diced
- finely chopped cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Heat oil in frying pan.
- Add fish, sear one side, flip and cover liberally with cajun seasoning.
- Flip again and season 2nd side.
- Fry fish until just done and flakes apart.
Notes
For quicker assembly, prepare Mango Jalapeño Slaw earlier in day or night before.
**Here is the Cajun Seasoning I use. I cut the salt down to 1 tablespoon because 3 is just way too much salt for our tastes.
