My kids are huge fans of their CuddleUppets and Happy Nappers, so when I was contacted about doing a review of Jay@Play’s Shamzee I excitedly said yes. My daughter was up next to be my “reviewer” so we chose the lady bug. She already has the Lady Bug Happy Napper so this way they “match”. As much use as my children get out of their other friends I figured this would be a winner.
So far it is for HER. (The boys think they lost out.) She dragged her pillow down so we could put it on immediately and it was a perfect fit. I might steal it. It’s so soft and fuzzy it makes me want to snuggle down in the covers and take a nap. Notice I said ME. She still doesn’t want to take a nap.
I was a little worried that it would be a pain in the neck to put on but it wasn’t too difficult. You just need to make sure you put it on straight then pop the top corners of the pillow in. Thankfully it wasn’t rocket science. After you squish the pillow in there are little velcro tabs inside the mouth that close it up.
I also love that it adds to the “look” of her room without needing to go all out on decorations that will eventually be useless – it’s practical AND playful. Plus with renting we try not to put too much on the walls or invest in too much stylized to one room decor. This adds a special touch that can go anywhere.

Girly’s(5) review: The Shamzee has different animals besides a ladybug that you might like. You can put stuff in it like toys, like to hide them in the mouth. They are really comfy to sleep on. They make really good gifts.
**We received a free Shamzee for review purposes. Thankfully we love it but all opinions are my (or my daughter’s) own.
