Who doesn’t love ice cream? Even better than store bought ice cream is your very own homemade ice cream. There is something so special about enjoying a nice creamy scoop of your own homemade ice cream. I’m hosting a giveaway for a copy of Scoop Adventures by Lindsay Clendaniel. Travel all 50 states without leaving your kitchen. What better way to explore then to make ice creams from all around the country?

Just in case you missed the recipe I shared, check out Pink Panther Ice Cream.  Then make sure you come back and enter for your own copy. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, don’t despair. I linked to Lindsay’s post on how to make ice cream without a maker in the link above.

So what do you say? Ready to enter?

  1. Lychee ice cream is probably the most unusual I’ve tried. It’s very popular in Okinawa, where it lived for a year…. I tried several other strange flavors there but can’t remember the exact flavor combinations. For the most part their ice cream is very different and their flavors are nothing like what we think of as ice cream here…..I’m very curious about this book and the assorted recipies. We love ice cream and I’d enjoy a book with the best ice creams! Thanks for the chance to win

  2. I tried fried ice cream, I think it was chocolate and it was so gross. I had to spit it out. Thank you for the cool giveaway 🙂

  3. I think the strangest ice cream flavor I’ve ever tried was Green Tea. I know that’s not a very “Weird” flavor but I haven’t really tried anything out of the ordinary. I Love Black Licorice ice cream… if that’s any weirder 🙂

    1. I love pumpkin ice cream. We have a Mushroom Festival in our area every year because it’s a huge grower of mushrooms and the pumpkin mushroom ice cream is a favorite yearly buy. Sounds weird but so yummy!

  4. Nothing too wild, recently made one with buttermilk, cream cheese and roasted blackberries. Loved it. My BIL had me try his licorice, not a fan.

    1. Perhaps not wild but totally decadent and gourmet. I am officially jealous. I need to try this. Oh, and I love licorice so I need to try that too.

    1. Oooh, I did have a salted caramel with bacon pieces in it that was really good one time. It was a Philly Food Show. I think it was from Brown Chicken, Brown Cow but cannot remember now.
