Hi, my name is Heather and I collect food magazines. I’ve been, er, collecting for several years now and there is one reason alone that I don’t have more.
Please note that this post has been sponsored by Giant Food Stores and Build Your Influence Summit. I already had a well loved copy of Savory sitting on my desk when they asked me to be part of the campaign.
Magazines cost money. Except the new Savory magazine at Giant Food Stores. It doesn’t cost me money, unless you want to call giving me fantastic recipes and entertaining ideas with products I can buy in their store, costing me money. But that’s okay, because I was going there to buy groceries anyway. Now our meals and parties can be even more fabulous, because Giant Food Stores is all about what I am all about – quick and easy homemade recipes with YOU in mind.
I love when the new Savory magazine shows up in the display by my Giant’s entrance. I make sure to get one the first time I see it. It’s ever so helpful to have on hand as the articles and recipes change with the seasons. This issue shares money-saving offers that are perfect for holiday entertaining, cookie recipes, and dishes that will wow holiday guests. Plus it inspires me to try new flavors, like Fennel Soup with Smoked Salmon. Doesn’t it sound so gourmet? It does, but it’s a super easy recipe. (Not local? Download a copy here.)
You will find tips and recipes for cranberries and tips for carving a turkey in this issue, along with recipes for Hannukah, Christmas, and the Feast of 7 Fishes. Best of all, the theme is easy, quick, and stress-free while being tasty and guest worthy – a breath of fresh air for rushed and tired people everywhere.
I think I need to get the spice rub for this delicious looking salmon recipe. As we move into the new year it will be a great way to add flavor while keeping dishes a little healthier and still quick and easy. Speaking of which, I can’t wait for the January/February issue because it is full of fitness tips and healthy recipes.
And now it’s time to start thinking about my New Year’s Eve party menu. Thank you to Giant Food Stores and Savory magazine for making this busy life that much easier to make gourmet. Your cranberry article is inspiring me to make a Cranberry Moscow Mule as the evening’s signature drink. We’re even going to have an alcohol free version, so stay tuned for our newest “mocktails and cocktails”.
