I tried brussel sprouts a different way tonight. I sauteed them per the steps below. I was too tired and in a hurry to take nice pictures so next time I will have to add some.
1 lb. brussel sprouts, shredded (food processor)
1 tablespoon butter
1 – 2 teaspoons wok oil (infused with garlic)
1 egg, beaten
Melt the butter.
Add the oil.
When the grease is hot, add the brussel sprouts and cover so they soften nicely.
Stir them occasionally until soft enough to eat (10’ish minutes)
Add the beaten egg and stir until egg is cooked through.
Serve.
E said, “They were a little good. The other flavors were good but not a fan of the brussel sprout part.”
K said, ” Yes. The brussel sprouts were really good. I really liked them.”
R took one tiny sliver, scrunched up her face and said “No.”
Me – loved them. They were really delicious and packed with flavor. There was no bitterness some people associate with brussel sprouts. They weren’t harsh and strong either. Also, very easy to make. I will definitely make them again.
Dave – not home to say.
