Berries, tomatoes and pre-washed lettuce sometimes come in plastic containers. Shoes come in cardboard boxes.Too flimsy to be used for much, holes in the sides and bottoms, and weird sizes, make them good for very little. You can still re-use them though. Just get creative.

Instead of buying pencil cases and plastic shoe box containers for storing trinkets and odds and ends around the house, re-use those containers.

Let the kids cover them with paper and decorate for a DIY craft.

Store small, odd shaped items in your cabinets in them.

Pencils, crayons, pens, and other small craft items fit nicely in the different sizes.

Stack spices and soup mixes in them.

Really, the sky is the limit when you look around your home and see small clutter-y items that take up space but are necessary to your home. When you utilize things like this that are “worthless” but stack and take up small spaces, you utilize un-used space and make room for more things to be organized nicely.
