This week we are going into heavy duty prep ahead mode. Sunday evening is going to be my prep time and we are prepping as much of our meals at one time as possible.
You might ask what the point is. Well, every day you grab a knife, pull out the cutting board, pull out your veggies, etc. You wash what you need, you cut them, and then you have to wash the cutting board, knives, and anything else you used.
If we do all our prep work ahead of time we don’t have to prep less veggies for the week but we spend a little less time doing so, we save water, and we save time getting everything out, cleaning it up, and putting it away.
Even if it is just 5 minutes each day that is 5 minutes to do something fun or helpful, like using my menu plan instead of thinking up your own. Ready for that plan?
Easy Meal Plan 7
Day 1: Chicken Taco Soup and Cornbread
Day 3: Sausage, Potatoes, and Peas
Day 4: Honey Ginger Chicken, rice, and asparagus
Day 5: Chicken Cheddar Ziti and roasted broccoli
Add for the best breakfast dinner ever: Strawberry Piña Colada (Mocktail or Cocktail)
Day 7: Homemade Pizza and veggie sticks
