My favorite part of New Year’s celebrations is the opportunity to make all sorts of yummy appetizers. Oh, and my favorite “any kind of fruit thrown in” sangria. This year my sangria is going to mimic an amazing Peach Sangria I had at Friday’s the other night. However, mine will be quite a bit cheaper.  Here is my menu to give you some New Year’s Eve appetizer ideas that are still easy to make.

New Year’s Eve Appetizers with Protein

Here is where I would be adding amazing nut appetizers if they weren’t killer in our family. (We make a lot of nut killer jokes in this family. Puns totally intended.)

  • Steak Bites
  • BBQ cocktail wieners – 1 package lil smokies, 1 bottle your favorite BBQ sauce – slow cook for a few hours. Easy peasy!
  • Mini tuna melts – I love tuna sandwiches with swiss. I am especially loving Jarlsberg Lite right now. Sliced baguette, topped with a cranberry tuna and slice of Jarlsberg melted over top – deliciously easy and awesomely amazing.
  • Bacon wrapped shrimp – sprinkle on the spices, wrap in bacon, bake and serve. They went like hotcakes last year.

New Year’s Eve Sweet Treats

  • Mini Key Lime Cheesecakes with a Blackberry topping (Gluten-free with a recipe coming soon.)
  • Pumpkin White Chocolate Tarts (gluten-free or regular)
  • Mini Berry Cheese Crepes
