I need to get my act together. I was doing so well for several months. I had a menu plan and I kind of stuck to it. It helped so much even when I didn’t follow it strictly. It would have been even better if I was more organized and on top of getting things ready early in the day but with homeschooling, work, and hauling a kid to and from preschool, best laid plans tend to go up in smoke. When the plan isn’t so “best laid” it falls apart altogether. This lack of meal planning has played a huge toll on my life and budget. Dinner time – that time of day that I need to flow and fall into place has been a scattered mess of throw it together or grab and go. That doesn’t work for me.

Over the next week I plan to focus heavily on meal planning and would love to interact with you so be prepared for some questions over the next few weeks on meal planning, what works, what doesn’t, and some great meal ideas. Maybe we can all share and learn some new tricks and dishes.

All I DO know is I cannot start next year the way this one ended – sick from stress and way too much on my plate (pun not intended). Meal planning is going to be a priority in my house and hopefully it will help life go a little more smoothly.
