Homemade pizza takes a little more work than simply ordering takeout but the end result is so much tastier and costs less. One shortcut I like to take is to make and freeze several batches of pizza dough. Today I’m showing you how to do this too.

How to Freeze Pizza Dough - Real: The Kitchen and Beyond

I’m a huge fan of throwing, well, just about everything possible in the freezer if it’s going to make my life easier. Freezing pizza dough and crust definitely does that and it is easy from start to finish.

Pizza dough is much easier to freeze because it doesn’t require as much space or care. You simply make your dough, package, and freeze. When you pre-make a pizza crust it requires partially baking it, which cuts down on the time spent making homemade pizza for dinner but requires a little more space and care in the freezer.

You may be daunted by the thought of making your own pizza dough, but once you start you’ll wonder why you waited so long. Homemade pizza crust has simple ingredients and you don’t need to wonder what is in it when you make it at home. You can start with this easy homemade pizza dough recipe. Also, if you have kids, get them started on making it now. It will be much less intimidating for them and sets them up with valuable skills for life (like not being scared of yeast bread recipes, haha).
