Have you recently looked at the label of the ever popular chocolate syrup? I was fairly certain that that household staple could be made much easier, with less ingredients and be just as tasty. I wasn’t wrong. This homemade chocolate syrup recipe is so delicious I could eat it straight, with a spoon, or my finger. “Finger licking good” doesn’t always have to bring images of BBQ chicken to mind. It also happens to be quite fantastic in this easy homemade hot chocolate in minutes.

Homemade Chocolate Syrup
So my kids had been missing their favorite chocolate syrup for almost a year, ever since that fateful day I LOOKED at the ingredients. I am pretty sure they would love to rip all ingredient labels off their favorite foods these days so I know I have a lot of work to do in order to deliver the goods on their favorites before they completely revolt and grow up to be processed food inhalers.

The hunt for a homemade chocolate syrup recipe wasn’t really that hard. It’s called Pinterest, my best friend in internet world. Here is the recipe I found and adapted to my raw sugar eating ways since I’m not letting go my grip on that one yet. Perhaps I’ll get there but I highly doubt it. I do love sugar and the coconut sugar alternatives, while tasting delicious, like eat it straight delicious, are a bit pricy for me. A girl can only handle so much at once.
