The countdown is over and A Carol for Kent is LIVE. Hallee Bridgeman delivers again with her newest Christian romantic suspense novel. A little romance, a little more suspense, and a good but not too preachy dose of God finishes out her newest book in the Song of Suspense series. We finally get to hear Bobby Kent (A Melody for James) and Carol Mabrey’s (An Aria for Nick) story.
Carol and Bobby weren’t always strangers. Once upon a time, a long time ago, they became close until career opportunities pulled them apart. Little did they know that years of lies also kept them apart. Coming face to face with each other 8 years later, they start to unravel years of deceit and anger.
As each comes to terms with the impact other people’s actions had on their lives, they explore forgiveness and the possibility of a future together. With both having demanding jobs do they have what it takes to bring back what they once had? Will they forgive those who have hurt them before it’s too late?
You see, Carol’s in the middle of a serial murder case, and that case is about to get a little too personal. With murders that follow specific patterns but don’t “read” like a regular serial killer case, who is this monster, “Richmond Red”, and what does he really want?
This book has brought to mind this verse the last few days.
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” (NASB)
A Carol for Kent weaves a beautiful story of God’s redemptive work and love while it teaches us a lesson of forgiveness and faith.

Mystery
Who’s your favorite author? I’m reading a series by Christy Barritt that I am really enjoying. I don’t spend money on books often but I have bought the first 6 books so far. Helps that it is Kindle and Book 1 was free. Then I was able to buy 4-6 in a special priced compilation. I paid $10 for the second book though, haha. That’s a lot of money for ME to spend on books. I made my husband rationalize it FOR me.
