Surprise your loved one with these easy to make gluten-free chocolate dipped cookies for Valentine’s Day. While I used Schar’s gluten-free cookies, you can use any brand of gluten-free cookies or make your own.
Easy Gluten Free Chocolate Dipped Cookies for Valentine’s Day
Ingredients Needed
- Gluten Free Cookies
- Chocolate Chips
- Valentine’s Day sprinkles
- wax paper or parchment paper
- cookie sheet
When choosing a cookie to use, select something simple. Schar offers two types of wafers, vanilla and cocoa, and chocolate-dipped cookies. Gluten-free shortbread or sugar cookies would be another good option.
Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave. Do the melting 30 seconds at a time to prevent the chocolate from scorching. Only do 1/2 cup of chocolate chips at a time to prevent the chocolate from cooling too quickly.
Use a spoon or knife to spread the chocolate on the end of the cookie. Holding the cookie over a bowl of sprinkles, dropping sprinkles on all sides of the cookies. Shake off the excess. Lay the cookie on the wax paper-covered cookie sheet.
Let the chocolate cool completely before packing the cookies into an air-dry storage container. Keep the container in the fridge to prevent the chocolate on the cookies from melting.
