Food & Drink

As you will see I am on a pumpkin and caramel kick. They all just are perfect for this fall time of year. My frugal tip this week actually has to do with APPLES, another fall time love. I am dehydrating apples into apple chips as part of my Saving with Winter Preservation.

Pumpkin Spice Latte from A Mitten Full of Savings- This one looks like it may actually end up fairly close to a coffee shop drink. I would make double or triple strength coffee. Note the lack of pumpkin. I think that is the trick to making it good at home since they don’t use pumpkin. (Saving with Winter Preservation)

Pumpkin Pull Apart Bread from Growing up Gabel- funky, easy and delicious looking. I must try this at home. (Saving with Winter Preservation)

Caramel and Milk Dud Popcorn Balls  from Frugal Ferret – Oh I love popcorn balls. I remember as a kid they always had that wilted stale taste. Not such a fan of that anymore, it is CHEAPER and FRESHER to make your own. It’s also an amazingly sticky chocolatey caramely sweet mess.  (Saving with Winter Preservation)

Chocolate Salted Caramel Bars from A Thrifty Table. Mmmm! Easy and delicious. I love sweet and salty combined. (from Frugal Chicken Cheddar Ziti)

Pumpkin Brie Topping – It was love as first taste. Easy but classy this works as a topping a filling (between spice cake layers OH MY!) or a dip. Party on even if it’s just you, hiding in the corner so you don’t have to share.

Craft, Decor & Photo

Create a Light Box Effect for Under $2 from Snail Pace Transformations – those beautiful food pictures that pop right up off the computer screen from a white background and scream EAT ME just one inch away from your mouth then you remember they aren’t REAL? Yeah, this does that. (From the week Frugal Chicken Cheddar Ziti)

A Simple DIY Jute Wreath  from  The Vintage Mom – this non-crafty girl may even be able to pull this off. I love the simple elegance of this wreath. (from Frugal Chicken Cheddar Ziti)

Homemade Christmas, Felt Pizza from Raising Crops and Babies
