I cringed as I grabbed a bottle of toilet cleaner off the store shelf. The cost? Not really too bad. If I had to choose, it is my “favorite” toilet bowl cleaner, coming in at $2 without coupons. I cringe envisioning the horrible chemicals housed inside. Until I can find a DIY toilet bowl cleaner that holds up to task, making hard water marks disappear and build up be gone, I have to content myself with the fact that I am making my own/ DIY cleaning products where I can. Even though some still have chemicals, they are so much better than popular cleaners and they usually cost less.
Many in our house have sensitive skin so making our own laundry detergent became a real budget saver. Rather than spending big bucks on brands we use homemade detergent. Instead of buying “glass cleaner”, we make our own. Instead of harsh chemicals for drain plugs, I use a very simple mixture that doesn’t give me breathing problems. Here are our favorite DIY cleaning supplies.
