I decided to try making baked beans in the crock pot from dry beans. It was quite easy to throw in the crock pot. However, the cooking time on the recipe was beyond off. It said 6 hours on low. I beg to differ. 6 hours on HIGH was nowhere near enough. We left them in the crockpot overnight. Problem was Dave didn’t hear me ask him to turn it to low.
This morning there were black baked beans. They taste……ok. Ok enough to know they would be really good if they weren’t burned. Scrubbing the crock pot isn’t going to be pleasant.
Back to the drawing board. I am determined to make good crock pot baked beans so I have a good summer recipe.
