Chocolate, peanut butter, and banana are a perfect power combination and what better way to start the day than with a quick and easy smoothie recipe? Hearty peanut butter, smooth banana, and rich cocoa powder will give your morning the perfect boost.
We love smoothies in this house but I get bored easily, even with my favorite smoothie combination – banana + citrus + leafy greens + berry + yogurt. Because of that I am always on the hunt for more smoothie recipes that are perfectly amazing and please both kid and adult. This one is like dessert without added sugar, plus it has great staying power to help YOU power through your morning.
I do have to mention something that is completely ludicrous to me. In fact, I still can’t say it with a straight face. My children’s one complaint was that it is too chocolaty. I think, perhaps, they aren’t really my children. Anyway, I just had to note that I found it to have the perfect amount of chocolaty flavor without going overboard, but you might want to cut your cocoa powder a bit if you aren’t in love with chocolate. (Say it ain’t so!)
