In Review: An Aria for Nick

Once upon a time….

Aria, a military kid, grew up in the perfect suburbia family with a mom, dad, and annoying brothers. Nick grew up, abused by his alcoholic father after his mother ditched them. All through out high school Aria knew exactly what she wanted – Nick and a concert piano career. All Nick wanted was to get out of town. Is Aria for Nick or will her story lead to someone else?

As high school draws to an end, Aria is desperate to not lose Nick forever, and gives him a gift, connecting them even as he leaves for Boot Camp and then the Middle East. After he is gone she receives letters from him and she hopes that one day he will come back and see her as part of his future, until one fateful day when she hears a knock at the door and finds that her dreams for “forever after” will never be a reality. Within months she must face another devastating reality that sets her on a new career path. Her new path is less glamorous than the musical spotlight and catapults her into a web of deceit and, in fact, threatens her very life.

As Aria struggles to stay alive and find her new path, will she trust God to see her through? Will she find fulfillment in her new career and life as a single woman who has lost her hopes and dreams for the future? Who is this man who is tasked to investigate the plot she has accidentally uncovered. Is he one of the good guys or the bad guy?

An Aria for Nick is a story woven with forgiveness, redemption, and learning your value in God’s eyes, not your circumstances. No matter what path your journey takes, complete trust in God’s plan can never lead you astray. Hallee Bridgeman skillfully weaves her story with romance, suspense, and as always, with the steadfast and enduring love of God.
