Apple Scone Drop Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cups stone ground whole wheat flour/regular whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 Tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/4 cup raw sugar
  • 1 1/22 cups chopped apple – I use 1 large apple
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened applesauce

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 425.
  2. Chop apple – peel or leave peel on.
  3. Mix together all dry ingredients.
  4. Slightly beat eggs.
  5. Mix eggs and applesauce into dry ingredients until completely mixed.
  6. Stir in chopped apple.
  7. Drop by spoonful onto un-greased tray. (I use a large table spoon heaped.)
  8. Bake 15 minutes.
  9. Serve warm with butter.
