WOW! It has been a crazy few weeks. To think – in May we were just kind of getting a feel for what was in the area and the cost, with the hope to move in September. In a whirlwind of events, not only did we come across something we loved but we signed a lease and moved, all in the space of 11 days. CRAZY!! Thankfully I started packing the week before with the thought that if we moved in 2 months I wanted a jump-start on it AND the thought that if by some strange thing we got something sooner I may as well have it started.
Everything except for our yard sale items are out of our old house, we have a yard sale tomorrow, our washer and dryer are suppose to be purchased and picked up from our new place tonight, and our new chapter is officially beginning.Oh, and someone is moving in to our old place on July 15!!!!
My new place is a disaster. There are still boxes everywhere and “stuff” – piles of laundry to do and rooms to arrange, but we are getting there. The important things – beds to sleep on, clean dishes, walkways, clean bathrooms, and most importantly, a clean jacuzzi, are all done.
I can’t wait to get back to life as normal so I can start writing again. Now I am off to figure out what tonight’s dinner is. I bought tilapia last night and need to find some sides. New potatoes and asparagus sound good but I have neither. Should I take a trip to the grocery store? We will see.
