We are coming into my favorite holiday season. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years all pile on top of each other for one amazing end to fall and start to winter. Cold weather isn’t my favorite thing but I definitely love all the scents and flavors of the season. I have a great list of comfort food recipes that I find to be perfect this time of year and I have several great scents lined up for the next few months, thanks to a special #FebrezeHoliday package I received. Apple Tart is my current fave and Frosted Pine will get popped in the day after Thanksgiving when we put up our unscented “fake” Christmas tree.

Apple is one of my favorite scents ever. It’s a perfect “fix” when you are craving dessert or want your home to smell inviting and cozy. Apple Tart from Febreze is a blend of apple and spice and all I can think of right now is that it’s time to pull out my apple pie recipe or whip up some homemade apple crisp. I took an early sniff of the Frosted Pine and it is perfect. The only thing I miss about a “real” Christmas tree is that fresh pine scent.

This year I can plug in the Febreze Frosted Pine and smell Christmas in the air while enjoying my favorite wintertime comfort foods. The smell reminds me of Christmas seasons long ago where I would curl up and read by the Christmas tree lights with Christmas music playing in the background and Christmas cookies close at hand. This year I am determined to take time to enjoy the slow chilly evenings, curled up in my blanket, with Christmas music playing, and a good book in hand, just like those childhood memories.

What would a post about my favorite scents and comfort food recipes be without just a few of those recipes? Do you associate comfort food with homemade mac and cheese, meatloaf, and mashed potatoes? I associate those and so many more. From breakfast to dessert, I have a comfort food recipe that will complete a chilly evening. So light your favorite scented candle or pop your favorite scent into the outlet, make some comfort food, and relax for just a few minutes in time.
