I had a $16 Staples Reward I needed to use and needed a dry erase calendar so we went to Staples.
Staples was NOT meant as a shopping excursion with the kids, even if there are 2 adults with 3 children. ACK!!!
Dry erase calendars with a frame are very expensive if you need a large one but as a longevity thing quite accurately priced. The laminate ones that you hang on the wall are a rip off. “Why no thank you I do not want to spend $25 on s chintzy thing I could make myself.”
Their “specials” of the week are pretty awesome -just make sure you check their limits.
Don’t ask the cashier the price of something – you will wait an eternity while they wander what seems to be the whole store LOOKING for it!! (No really, it was because she had to find it in a special section and she looked in the regular aisle first. However, with lines and antsy kids….)
FINALLY, CHECK THE CLEARANCE AISLE. Sweet deal – they had some akro mill lock top totes clearanced out. Normal price was around 14.99. I paid 1.50 each. Sorry, Longwood Staples does NOT have any. I REPEAT, it has NONE. I bought all 4.
Staples stapler, staple puller, staple value pack – $3 (say that again!!)
Rotating pencil, etc. holder – $4.99
2 pk. sharpies – .25 (moving in my future?)
Expo dry eraser marker 6 pk. – $4
6 Notebooks – .01 ea. = .06
4 totes – 1.50 ea. – $6
The total was $19 and change
After $16 in rewards I paid $2.44.
