Sometimes a girl just needs chocolate and it is pointless to resist. You know if you do you are going to end up completely binge-ing on chocolate anyway so it is just better to give in to the craving in moderation and be done.
Who am I kidding? I’m never done with chocolate but at least if I don’t force myself to stay away from it when I am hungry for it I don’t go crazy the next time I lay my hands on it. I have a few many favorites when it comes to chocolate.
Occasionally a Hershey’s milk chocolate bar or Cherry Hershey Kisses are just what I am looking for but usually I go for the pricier stuff. I use to love Nestle Chunk bars until I became too allergic to tree nuts. I suffer no guilt when I pick up a bar of Fair Trade chocolate and Divine Chocolate’s Dark Chocolate Raspberry Bars are one of my favorites. It is worth every pretty little penny.
I also love Molten Lava Cakes and One Bowl Brownies, minus the nuts, plus a small pinch of chili powder and a large pinch of cinnamon, and Chocolate Cherry Cheesecakes.
No cold winter’s evening by the “fireplace I don’t have” would be complete without our yummy homemade hot cocoa. Even better, I usually get to snuggle up under a blanket with a good book while my sweet husband makes it for me. I just have to remind him to add the cinnamon and chili powder because when it is missing I KNOW. I KNOW! And he knows I know because I always ask when he forgets.
I love chocolate. I need chocolate. I am thankful I am not allergic to chocolate. That would be a sad world for me. I love chocolate on fruit and chocolate on pretzel Flipsides. I love chocolate on a spoon or drizzled over ice cream or dipped out of a container with my finger, chocolate covered raisins and espresso beans. The only way I haven’t L-O-V-E-D chocolate yet is on bacon and I’m not sure I could do chocolate covered bats or grasshoppers either. It just doesn’t work for me. But any other way? Bring it on.
I need chocolate.
Wow. I love chocolate, too, but I’ve gotten pickier about the type I’ll eat. Hershey just doesn’t do it for me anymore. I love fudgy brownies, 70% cocoa dark chocolate, and European cocoa for baking. I might have become a chocolate snob, but I still love the stuff.

70% dark chocolate is my favorite too.
I’m not much of a chocolate person… unless it comes with peanut butter. Then I’m more of a “can’t get enough chocolate and peanut butter” kinda person. ๐
Yay for chocolate! Those brownies you brought over were awesome by the way!
Is it too early for chocolate, because now I NEED some! I am terrible at saying no to myself when it comes to chocolate!
No ma’am! I announced on Facebook that I had a brownie before breakfast. It felt wickedly decadent.
My hubs is a true chocolate lover. I love a good cup of hot cocoa or hot chocolate or an excellent piece of dark chocolate. Milk choc…nah…lucky me! My little one (8) gave up chocolate candy for Lent…we will see if she makes it ๐
That is ambitious of her! I hope she can do it. She will feel such a sense of accomplishment.
I’m not the chocaholic my hubby is (he’ll even make a midnight trip to the convenience store if he’s got a chocolate craving) but I do enjoy some from time to time. And now you’ve made me crave chocolate *now*. ๐
Haha. MUST.HAVE.CHOCOLATE. One Bowl Brownies are amazing and pretty quick. ๐ Your husband will love you for it.
