I loved smoked salmon. I also love appetizers that are gourmet but relatively easy to pull together. These Smoked Salmon Dill Bites make an easy gourmet appetizer that is good for any day. You could even change it up and make a salmon dill sandwich on a bagel for breakfast or lunch.
The key is to start with a good quality smoked salmon. I love Duck Trap Maine Smoked Salmon. You lose the beautiful delicate ribbons of smoked salmon in this presentation but oh the flavor of this salmon is amazing and worth it. It’s so easy it seems ridiculous to put it in recipe form but I will add it that way too in case you are like some one I know who shall not be named and need to print everything out.
Smoked Salmon Dill Bites
- 6 ounces smoked salmon
- 8 ounces Lemon Dill Cream Cheese
- 1 package mini toasts (usually found near specialty cheeses)
- Top each slice of toast with a smear of cream cheese and sliver of salmon.
- I made up about 24 of these then made a log with the rest of the cream cheese and pressed crumbled smoked salmon into it. Serve with toasts.
