Ordering online can net quite the deal but it seems like you often “pay for” that deal with shipping. One great way to save is to buy certain amounts to get FREE shipping but….is that shipping REALLY free or did you buy more just to reach that specified amount? We did the math and found that oftentimes we “added on” and ended up spending more than we really needed to. Enter Amazon Prime. We were a little skeptical at first. Of course it COSTS something – after the FREE 30 day trial. Coming in at $80 a year we wanted to make sure it would be worth it for us. We had just gotten rid of Netflix so we were able to factor in Amazon Prime and with my Kindle, it has a nice little perk of “rent a book free per month”. We didn’t include that because it really doesn’t have a “value” for us – it’s just a really really nice perk. We were really glad for the “free 30 day trial” because it gave us the chance to make sure the Instant Video was worth it for us (it was) and that there were plenty of items included in the Prime shipping.
It has been awesome. Amazon Prime saved us so much already when we needed an item in a pinch. We have even received items we ordered the very next day in some cases. You can sign up for a 30 day trial also. If you don’t like it just cancel at the end of 30 days. No hassle. I bet you will like it enough to keep it though.
