One way I make meal planning quick and easy is by taking inventory of what we have and seeing what is on sale. Then I look at my budget to see what we can spend and go from there.
Every week we get our grocery store staples and use the rest of the budget to grab snacks and fresh produce. When I am meal planning I look at what protein I have and decide what 5 proteins we will eat. Then I add the starch, and finally I add the veggie.
Since we have been in a really busy schedule right now I tend to keep it easy and fall back on familiar favorites but I try to add a new recipe each week like this week’s Broccoli Mushroom Pasta, which I made in under 30 minutes, using one pan. BOO-YAH! Now let’s get our meal planning on!
