Do you feel like it is a constant struggle to stay on budget with your groceries? My goal is to help you with your frugal meal planning goals while giving you great menu options and grocery lists to keep your meal plan tasty and easier. This week is our kick-off week and I will have a new post go live every Thursday evening so if you do your grocery shopping on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday it is already live and ready for you.

Frugal Meal Planning Menu Plan 1

I am not going to give you price points or promise to stay within a certain dollar amount simply because we all live in varying parts of the country, with various family sizes and I don’t want to promise you a $100 budget (4-5 people) if that just isn’t feasible for you in your area. Also, feel free to mix these meals up and have them on evenings that work with you or use parts of it that work.
Frugal Meal Planning Breakfast Plan 1

Day 1:

Applesauce Baked Oatmeal – this is nice because it can be made ahead of time and reheated for several breakfast this week

Day 2:

Toast with peanut butter and fruit ( a banana, apple, or half a grapefruit)

Day 3:

Smoothie – plain yogurt, fresh and frozen odd and end fruits and vegetables – Add some protein powder, hempseed, flax meal, or peanut/nut butter for protein

Day 4:

Oatmeal with apples, raisins, and cinnamon. (Make a double batch Monday and refrigerate in individual sized containers)

Day 5:

Egg Sandwich – toast, egg, cheese, and some ham, Taylor ham, or bacon and fruit (banana, apple, or half of grapefruit left from day 2)

Day 6:

Parfait – layer yogurt, fruit, and toasted oats and/or nuts- I am kind of partial to these Cherry Blueberry Cheesecake Parfaits

Day 7:

Homemade pancakes with diced fresh fruit and whipped cream- We prefer to keep it real and skip the cans or frozen ready whip. A small container of heavy cream can go a long way.
