It’s been a bit stressful here with Dave’s new job. Ok, try A LOT stressful. He is gone so many more hours, we are gone so many more hours, and most of it requires leaving quite early in the AM.
Yesterday for his day off we cleaned out the garage (WOOHOO!!! not) Thankfully it is done and ready to be moved out of!!! Friends of ours gave us some gift cards so we decided to use one for a family day.
We ordered a pizza from Bravo’s pizza – the closest thing to NY Pizza I have found in the land of cheese steaks. (15.32)
Then we cashed in our Living Social deals for 4 Fandango tickets ($18). I used my Kellogg’s FREE Movie ticket from some cereal deal that was, well, FREE!!!
We got a large popcorn and soda to share in case we decided to take advantage of the free refills. (13.75 – OUCH!!)
Our total for yesterday was $47.07 for a family of five. Subtract the $25 gift card and we paid $22.07, $18 of which came out of a previous budget. Not too bad only paying $4.07 out of pocket for the day.
The pizza was good as always, the popcorn and soda of course was a hit, and the movie, Cars 2, was thankfully not as cheesy as some “seconds” are. Overall it was a hit movie for us, including the easily bored mommy.
Oh, I forgot to add that I got a free movie ticket for the next trip AND a complimentary download for Tokyo Mater on I Tunes.
