Dave and I are sitting in a cute little cafe, bowls of soup and sandwiches in front of us. A peaceful, relaxing moment without kids but with comfort food.We actually get to talk without “I want…”
*CRASH* Oh, back to reality. I am actually sitting here daydreaming. Well, I was until one of the kids did something. Never mind the cafe. Somehow my daydream forgot where the money would come from. Here we go again in this life called “On a Tight Budget”.
I am going to pop bread ingredients into the bread maker and try this recipe for dinner tonight.Maybe I can feed the kids early and have them ready for bed when Dave gets home. After a little play time, early bedtime and a quiet dinner for us.
It takes a bit of creativity (and hoping for cooperative children) but you don’t always need to go all out financially to have nice “date night”.
Scene: card table covered with a nice tablecloth, a few candles, dinner, and a date.
Utilize your “company table-cloth”, wine glasses, cloth napkins if you have them, wine glasses for whatever you are drinking, some soft music, and ingredients in your pantry.
That all equals one free date night. Who needs the cafe? All right. Now I need to get to work.
