I had a huge problem this morning. Since we were gone Thursday – Sunday I wasn’t able to get milk or eggs. We are also down a car so I can’t just go get stuff. I also haven’t had time to make bread or anything else and making most breakfast foods requires milk OR eggs.
Here is where planning ahead came in handy. I was on the verge of calling my husband to see if he had any ideas about what I could give them besides small containers of yogurt when my son opens the freezer and yells “HOW ABOUT WAFFLES?”
DUH! Everytime we make waffles we double the bath and freeze any leftovers. It is super easy. You make them up and pop them in a freezer bag. When you want to serve them, you pull them out and pop them in the toaster. Breakfast in minutes.
So, next time you make waffles or pancakes, make a few extra and pop them in the freezer. You never know when you may need them. I will share our favorite waffle recipe with you soon.
Next decision….coffee with no creamer, tea, or General International to the rescue……
